I grew up in a military family. My father was in the Air Force for 15 years, spending most of his time in Omaha Nebraska, where I was born. I first played for a military baseball team when I was 8 years old and immediately fell in love with this sport. From the very beginning, I believe that while I played other sports, like football, basketball, and soccer, baseball was the sport where my success flourished the most.
Being a baseball player has also been an important element in my life and personal development. It has taught me how to be a servant and a leader. A servant in that I have the unique challenge to make my team better through sacrificing my personal goals in my play for the betterment of my team members. As a leader, I have the opportunity to highlight my strengths and be out front to encourage my team when we are not always winning.
I would like to continue my baseball career by playing at the college level; continuing my development as a servant/leader and gaining a degree to provide for my future goals once baseball has ended.
