Justus Harvey '20 Recruiting Profile

I have been practicing baseball since I could walk!  I come from a family of baseball and softball players and umpires, summer is all about baseball.  My mom says I could hit and play catch since I was able to sit up.  I would love to continue playing in college and a dream has been to play professionally!!  We do  not have a high school team but played Juniors with the BERMIS American Legion team in Nebraska.  I would be playing my first year of senior ball this summer 2020 but with the coranovirus there may not be a season.  We do not have enough kids for a Senior team so I hope to play with Holdrege if we get to have a season.  I have attended camps at UNL in Lincoln and in Kearney several times over the years.  I have been playing since t-ball.  The season before 7th grade we were told we didn't have a team locally for my age group so I played over in Kearney Nebraska with their youth program and experienced a different environment and I loved it.  I've never had the opportunity to play on travel team, only our local league but I will give you 100%.  My favorite position is shortstop but I also do some pitching, can play 3rd, 2nd or outfield.  I try to be a versatile player and can fill voids as needed.  I would love the oppportunity to play in college where all the kids are on the team for the love of baseball, not just because its something to do.
