Being part of a supporting family has helped me grow as a person and softball player. My family has pushed me to do well in school and in my athletics. Most of them being being D1 recruited athletes though they thrived in teaching me how to work hard, something I had to learn on my own is how to balance my school, workouts, and softball. It was definitely a struggle in the beginning to adapt to a five day workouts schedule, then also being in all honors classes was definitely a curve first part of freshman year.
My most memorable day is the day we won nationals. Playing almost 12 hours of softball. Coming back to beat a team twice when they had run-ruled just two games before that. The first game won 10-9 and the second 10-7. One of the best feelings as a player, is the last time on the field with that same team, same players, and be national champions.
I want to play softball at a collegiate level, while playing softball, I want to find a school that allows me and pushes me to thrive in my academics as well as my sports. I also want to grow as a person and my work ethic to be strong and persistent with everything I do, the same as it is on the field; I believe that being apart of a competitive sport will help me with these things.
