Sports are my passion. I feel that I am able to "see" the game very well and I am able to visualize the next step. This helps me be prepared for the next play and situation. I am also a leader and can help the team by being that captain on and off the field.
Even though sports are important, my academics and environment on campus will be a big factor in my decision. I am young and just starting to look at colleges. I do not have a major decided yet, but academics are an important deciding factor. I am a very motivated student, so I guarantee my grades will be impressive.
I started playing travel baseball at age 7 and have continued my love for the game since then. I have participated in many post-season, invite only tournaments, so I have had the opportunity to play with some of the best players in my age group. This shows me what I need to improve on to compete with the top athletes across the nation and drives me to get better everyday.
My dad has been my coach since I was 8, so I have a family that loves baseball as much as I do. With my dad being the coach, we talk baseball pretty much every night and he pushes me to be the best I can be. He also teaches me the strategy of the game, so I can use that when I am calling pitches behind the plate.
Although playing time is important to me, I would love to be on a successful team. I know that I need to prove myself to earn a spot and to not expect anything to be given to me with out proving my work ethic and abilities. I promise to work hard on and off the field as well as in the classroom.
