My name is Armen Laylagian. I am 6’ 1” tall and weigh 200 pounds. I am a right-handed catcher/third baseman. I will be graduating high school in 2023. I live and breathe baseball every day. In addition, I also work out at Anchor Athletics and Strength to build strength and flexibility through powerlifting and other conditioning training. Every day I am playing baseball, practicing specific baseball skills and/or working out and pushing myself to be just a little bit better. In baseball and lifting - and life for that matter - failure is inevitable and we must accept the small wins we get and use our failures to push us to achieve more wins and get better.
I am the starting catcher for both the Hopkinton High School Varsity Baseball Team as well as the Concord Cannons, an Elite Series travel team. I have been the Cannons’ starting catcher for each year that I have played them beginning with 9U to my current team, the 16U Black team.
I love playing baseball for so many more reasons, such as the many life lessons it has taught me. I also love winning and performing at my absolute best as much of the time as I can. I want to be the best for myself and my team. I will continue to work and strive with all that I am to become an MLB Hall of Fame member. I plan to also make sure to bring with me on this journey as many great ballplayers I can.
My next step right now is to go to college and leave it all on the field. Once my playing days are over, I would love to build a new elite travel ball team and sports facility where I can help add skill and knowledge to the game.
My other personal interests include building performance automobiles, dirt bike racing, and learning more about real estate investments.
Thank you for spending the time to read my personnel statement. I am looking forward to meeting with you to discuss this more.
