Ever since I first set foot on a baseball field at 5 years old, I have had a love for the game and I have always given 110% in learning, understanding and playing the game. The truth is that I have always had to work harder and smarter in order to not only make the team but also to get playing time. In my 9 years of playing ball, I have always had the most passion for the game on the field. I have always put my teammates before myself and always try to find a way to win instead of benefiting my stats. I am a high academic student and a hard working student because I love the game of baseball and I want to further my education at a high academic school. It has become my dream to play college baseball for a school that fits my academic standard.
I have always used the want to win and the want to prove people who have tried to hold me back wrong to motivate me to be a better and smarter ball player. Over the past 2 years I have made great strides as a baseball player and person. I have become much stronger and have gone from 5'0" and 95 lbs to 5'6" and 125 lbs, I have become a much more skilled player on the ball field, making the jump from a PO on the freshman team to a LHP/OF swinging varsity. Along with athletics, I have grown as a student too. I have a 3.7 GPA and I am in the top 20% of my class of 860 students. I have been nominated for the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists Award of Excellence. In both my 2018 JV High School season and Summer ball season I hit over .350 for both teams. For my Summer ball team I led the league in runs with 24 runs in 27 games. I pitched 7 games, posted a 1.62 ERA and struck out 29 batters in 30 1/3 innings. I have always played with passion on the field and have always been the hardest worker off of it and I will continue to do that until I am forced to hang up my cleats.
