I have played sports all my life and I feel it is a very big part of who I am, and has made me who I am today. Volleyball has taught me to push myself mentally and physically, to never give up, and above all support others around me to create a positive environment. I began playing volleyball my freshman year of high school after my brother convinced me to try it, and immediately fell in love with the competitive and collaborative aspects of the game. I am different from other athletes because I am willing to play where I am needed and do whats best for the team by always working to better my skills. An example of this was my sophomore year when I was pulled up to varsity and had to work extra hard to earn my playing time and eventually become starter. Aside from volleyball I take my academics very seriously and i’m very good at keeping my grades high, no matter the situation. I love pushing myself to the best I can be, and I feel playing at the collegiate level will allow me to continue growing as a player and an athlete.
