Cole Manfro '21 Recruiting Profile

There is nothing in my life that I am more passionate about than baseball.  I've been playing baseball since I was five years old and ever since then, I have been in love with the game.  My dream to play baseball throughout my life has never faded and it never will.  

I have learned that in life not everything is handed to you.  There are kids all over the world with the potential to play college baseball, and then maybe even in the pros.   What stands out about me the most is my competitive mindset, my hunger for success, my hustle, my compassion, and my overall personality.  I believe that you will find me to be a great teammate and a very coachable player.

I have a strong knowledge of the game of baseball.  With that being said, that doesn't mean that I won't still do as much as possible to learn even more.  I am open to hearing new things people try to teach me because at the end of the day, I just want to get better as much as I can.

Baseball has taught me many valuable lessons in life.  How to win and lose, how to make corrections when a mistake is made, and how to work together as a team to gain success.  I hold these values close to me everyday because I know that without them, I wouldn't achieve any of my goals.

In college I plan to do well in not only athletics, but academically as well.  I hope to become a better person after college and throughout college than I was before.  Hopefully I can find the right college which has the best fit for me so that I can achieve my goals and be successful in life.

My last 3 years have been rough, but with those last 3 years I have become a stronger person.  I live in Brick, New Jersey with my Dad Kevin Manfro and my younger sister Lily Manfro.  My mother unfortunately passed away on January 23, 2020 due to lung cancer.  She fought hard for 3 years trying to get better,  but it was just too much for her to handle.  I am now more determined to do better in everything that I do in my life, not only for myself, but for my mom as well.
