Having only completed one year of high school baseball, the highlight of my freshman year would be starting on JV. However, the highlight of my entire baseball career would be leading my little league team in hits during our week-long stay in Cooperstown. It gave me a lot of pride to still perform for my teammates after being fatigued from playing 5 days in a row, including 3 games in one day. I had to come through in clutch situations, knowing my team was counting on me and that there were friends and family watching at home on livestream. In the setting of Cooperstown, I felt what it was like to live like a college athlete, doing everything with teammates and coaches. Experiencing everything that happened that week made me realize how special the game of baseball was, and that I want to play for as long as I possibly can.
