Austin Buchanan '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Austin Buchanan from Mullica Hill, NJ. I recently completed my junior year at Delsea High School in Franklinville, NJ, where I served as a varsity starter in right field. I batted clean-up and topped the team in hits, RBIs, doubles, and tied for the most runs scored. Our team became the Group 3 Champions, marking the first time in school history that we made it to the NJ State Championship. My stats for Junior Year include 40 hits, 33 RBIs, 35 runs, 3 HRs, and an AVG of .430 with .645 SLG.  I am looking forward to showcasing my skills throughout the summer with my SJ Young Guns 2025 team.

What sets me apart as a good candidate is my strong work ethic and my versatility. I am a good teammate who is willing to play wherever I am needed to help the team succeed. When I'm not practicing with my team, I am lifting weights, working on my speed and agility, and hitting in the cage multiple times a week. As a student, I consistently maintain Honors grades and take my studies seriously.

My aim is to join a program that values my talents, can assist me in growing as a student and player, and has athletes with similar moral principles and work ethic to help us succeed at the NCAA level.
