Former Boston Red Sox ’s shortstop James Lofton on Joe Jernigan:

Solid competitor and will leave it all on the field. Sound defensive actions, catches everything he can get to. Polished player with natural instincts and he knows the game. Proper throwing mechanics with a loose and easy arm. Throws on target when he shows good body control.

PG on Joe Jernigan: 

Defensively, Jernigan worked behind the ball well and put himself in good positions to throw. With athleticism in his movements, he displayed sound footwork from the outfield. As he continues to grow and add strength to his build, velo should increase. At the plate, Jernigan showcased a compact rotational swing with an aggressive approach. He flashed contact back up the middle consistently. Once again strength will increase bat speed and power potential in the future.
