Hello, my name is Anthony (Tony) DeJohn. I am currently a rising junior at Christian Brother’s Academy in Lincroft, NJ. I am 17 years old (May 2005), 6’2”, and 170lbs. I am a right handed pitcher and hitter. I currently throw 86mph consistently and topped out at 88mph. I utilize 4 pitches (4 seam fastball, slider, curveball, & changeup). Pitcher is my primary position. I have been playing baseball since I was 4 years old, and my passion for it has never left. My greatest friendships and mentors have been met on the field. I have been fortunate to have coaches who have taught me the strong fundamentals and mechanics of baseball, as well as always exhibiting true sportsmanship. I am a player who has been taught to play your best on every play, and give every player and coach the utmost respect. This has become the foundation of the player that I am today. I am a strong academic student, finishing out my first year in high school with a 3.6 overall GPA. I believe in being a well-rounded athlete and have a strong work ethic. My goals are to play college baseball while earning a strong academic education, meeting my career goals in a science/health related field.
