I am a player who appreciates the process. I respect the amount of work, dedication, and sacrifice it takes for players and coaches to make it to Williamsport, Omaha and October.
The time I spend in the cage, throwing, and chasing down fly balls are some of the best moments of each day. Embracing the process has helped me grow as a player and a person. It has also helped shape my perspective as a student. Whether it be on the field or in the classroom, I am always looking for ways to improve.
While I’m not the loudest player in the dugout, I try to lead by example. I take the game seriously and always try to play the right way. I believe that win or lose, keeping my eyes forward and focusing on the next at bat, the next play, or tomorrow’s practice is crucial.
People that know me, that I’ve played with for years, would describe me as a quietly intense player. I am patient at the plate, looking for my pitch, but aggressive on the bases and in the outfield. I’m always looking to put my athleticism to use for the benefit of my team, be it laying down a bunt, stealing bases or diving for balls in the gap.
I am confident that my attitude and my skill set will help me contribute to a college program and I am excited to get started.
