Owen Murphy '24 Recruiting Profile

My many accomplishments in the classroom and on the baseball field have been a result of the hard work, dedication, and leadership skills I have gained over the past years.  The hard work I have put into studying for my classes and training in the gym have enabled me to be a member of the Nation Honor Society and a starting catcher on my various teams.  The dedication I have continued to put forward has allowed me to maintain my 3.65 GPA and grow stronger as an athlete behind the plate and at bat.  I have excelled as a leader in school when I was accepted as a member of our Peer Leaders Program.  However, my leadership skills are essential while I am a catcher.  Here is where I react to every play while directing my teammates to do the same.  

I love the game of baseball.  I have gotten where I am today because of the discipline and self-sacrifice I have given to my sport.  I  aim to continue to play at the college level.  I pledge to continue to work hard, remain dedicated and lead my future team mates on and off the field.
