The main priorities in my life are my family, school, and being a person that others respect and admire. However, I would like nothing more then to play Division I college baseball. Baseball is my greatest passion, and I pride myself on making myself a better player everyday. Whether that means taking extra ground balls after practice, hitting off the tee in the dead of winter, or working hard in school to maintain my grades. For me, baseball doesn't stop after my spring season. I play summer and fall baseball as well and practice at indoor facilities during the winter. I also have a weight lifting program during the off season to get my body ready for the upcoming season. Although my dream is to play Division I college baseball, I realize it the dream of every other player in the country. So, I am extremely willing to explore all of my options and make the best decision for my future. My dream schools are South Carolina University, University of Miami (FL), and University of Oregon. If I don't achieve my goals, I will make sure that it is not because of a lack of effort or hard work. During college I will push myself and others to become the best player I can be, and listen to my new coaches so that they can help me take my game to another level. I will also pride myself on being a leader on and off the field and a person that my teammates admire and respect. The things that I can specifically offer to a team include a solid middle infielder that can play other positions if needed, a consistent contact hitter with occasional power and very good speed around the bases, and a right handed pitcher with great location with all pitches and good movement on my curveball and slider. The place where I feel the most comfortable on a baseball field is the pitcher's mound. To me, there is no better feeling then blowing a fastball by someone or buckling somebody's knees with the perfect curveball. I understand I am not the ideal size for a Division I baseball player. I am currently in my Junior year, am 5'11" 168lbs. However, I also know that the Astros All Star shortstop Jose Altuve is only 5'5" so when people tell me I am too small it's only motivation for me to prove them wrong. To best describe me, I would say that I am a competitor and will do whatever is asked of my coaches and teammates in order for my team to be successful.
