Joseph DelloStritto '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Joe DelloStritto.  I am a sophomore,  and a baseball and basketball player.  I am also a National Honor Society member,  writer for the school paper, and the youngest of 3 siblings.  Here are some statements about me that I'd like you to know:

*My parents have impressed upon me that school comes first…I have a 4.1 GPA.

*My older brother graduated from Syracuse University and works for the MLB Network,  and my sister leaves for the University of Delaware in the fall.  She tells me everyday how much I will miss her.   She is right.

*I am lucky that my best friend,  since the age of 4,  lives across the street.  I am unlucky that he is a soccer player and a  Minnesota Twins fan! 

*I have been blessed to be one of the best players on my athletic teams through the years, and because of that many friends have viewed me as a leader and someone to look up to.  I have never "looked down" on anyone, and never will.

*I consider myself to be focused,  hard working and driven.  Ironically,  I rarely take myself too seriously.  I love a good story,  being with my friends and writing of any kind. I plan to major in communications in college.

*I am a year-round athlete and I strive to be the very best I can be.  I thrive under pressure,  play for my team, and love to win. I also recognize the value of a good meal,  and a long nap.

*My Mother often tells me I still have a lot to learn about life.  My 89-year old Grandmother tells me "life is short cherish every moment,"  and so I plan to do both.
