Leader ship is a characteristic of someone who has the courage and confidence to have the ability to command or control a certain environment. A leader wouldn’t have leader ship if there were no followers, leader ship involves others who want to follow the trail you are setting down behind you and believe strongly about you and believing you which gains trust in a leader. An experience where I have demonstrated leadership traits would be on the baseball field, by talking to my teammates and constantly trying to motivate everyone to be the best person and player that they can be so we can all come together and win. Taking my teammates aside and talking shows them not only that I care about them and the team but I want them to trust me so we all form a more comfortable relationship and achieve more than just a game. I am strongly committed to both school and playing baseball. I started playing baseball when I was five years old and it has changed my life ever since. I’ve met amazing people, accomplished many achievements, and have dealt with failure and how to overcome it. I benefit from this sport because not only does it help me with my physical health by getting me in good shape but it allows my mental state to focus on something I am passionate for and relieves any other stress that I’m dealing with. I balance my schoolwork load and baseball by setting enough time for each in order for me to excel. I m truly looking forward to my future in baseball and academics.
