My main goal in life is to pursue a degree in biomedical engineering because I love problem-solving. My dad works in the orthopedic field and he would bring products that biomedical engineers create. That’s what got me interested in the field. As for baseball, I have high expectations for myself because my goal is improving my skills on defense and offense. What I’m doing to achieve this is by waking up earlier to practice and staying after practice. Playing the game has taught me how to become a team player and work under pressure. In a game my team was down by two runs, the bases were loaded and I was up to bat. I knew I had to hit it in the gap. The pressure never got a hold of me and I execute what I need to do. These skills transfer to my everyday schooling. Like when it comes to project deadlines or testing, I don’t get overwhelmed with those tasks. What makes me a good candidate is my work ethic and being disciplined. An example of these qualities are my nutrition, working out, and practicing. My parents have taught me to work hard for what I want to accomplish in life.
