Hello- My name is Emil Gonzales; I am currently a senior and attend Onate High School in Las Cruces NM. I was born on August 29, 2002 in El Paso, TX . I am currently 5'9” and 165 LBS. I am a right hander hitter and right handed thrower. My primary position is outfield and my secondary position is second base, although I also play third and catch. In my own words plain and simple, I am a ball player I love the game of baseball. Since the age of five I have played the game. I respect the game and all the people I have played with. I have had the opportunity to learn the game from many great coaches. I know without them I wouldn't be the player that I am today. There is always more to learn. When I am not playing baseball or not in school I enjoy working out. I also like to watch a good game or Sports Center. School and baseball take up most of my time. I try to lift three times a week with some fellow teammates from my high school team in the off season. Over the winter months I do speed and agility training. My parents tell me to take it easy for at least one day a week, so if there are no games on Sunday I try to do something with them and my younger brothers. My parents are very positive people they have always supported me in baseball that's one of the reasons I love playing so much. When it comes to college I would like to major in Business Administration. If baseball doesn't work out I would like to get into business. I would love to work for a large company and eventually start my own small business. As far as my most important accomplishments I have played varsity baseball since I was a freshman in high school. My freshman year I started every game at left field at the varsity level. I hit 5th in the lineup. At first it was hard playing with players 4 years older than me, but with in no time I was part of the team I also think that experience will help me in college. In conclusion I would like to assure all of the college coaches interested in me that I'm a hard worker. I try to be a better student, baseball player and person every day. On the field I communicate clear and loudly off of the field I would say I am a little quieter than most. Coaches usually tell me that I am very coachable and always open to listening to advice. Respectfully Submitted by Emil Gonzales
