Hello coaches, my name is Caleb Riley. I am 17 years old and from the Pueblo of laguna. I'm currently a Senior attending Laguna Acoma Highschool. I Caleb am the oldest of 6 children. What makes me a good candidate is making sure all academics are priority in order to play sports. As a boy growing up the position's I played in baseball were Catcher,2nd Basemen, Short-stop, Third Basemen, and Outfield where-ever I was needed. In high school my positions are Catcher, 2nd Basemen and Short-stop. As a member of my team what makes me stand out is I believe in having respect, responsibility, and good sportsmanship whether win or lose, on or off the field. Respect for my coach, parents, team-mates and peers, that is my #1 rule I set for myself. My saying of another definition is TEAM is FAMILY if one messes up, we all mess up. My goal is to be a leader, not a follower. My aspiration is to be at least one of the Native American students to leave the reservation, attend a college, play baseball and see what the world has to offer me. In hopes I graduate with a degree in either Forest Engineering or Cosmetology (Barber), so maybe I can come back home to the reservation and work for my people or built a hair shop and give haircuts to all kids who are unfortunate or can't afford.
