My Personal Statement
I was living in the Domincan Republic during my sophmore year , junior year and half of senior year of high school. While i was in the dominican republic i was in a baseball program that teaches baseball prospects to become profesional at the age 16. Janarary 2019 is when i move back to New York City and entered High School for Energy and Technology in the front as a Junior. My first experience playing highschool varsity baseball was at this school in the bronx. I played 4 regular season games and got my Acl torned as well as my meniscus. It was the end of the season for me. I was so upset at the fact that i could no longer help my teamates to win a championship because the first game i pitched in highschool , i struck out 10 batters in only 4 innings of work. I am a right hand pitcher with 3 differnet curve bals and 3 other pitches such as, 4 seam fastball that goes around 82-84 mph, change up , and splitter. The splitter is my specialty , because it moves slow and the ball does not spin and it breaks down when it comes towards the home plate. My pitching skills were effective during all of the seasons I played in Babe Ruth World Series , Cal Ripken World Series , PONY World Series , and other travel and local teams. With me on your team, your team percentage of winning a championship would extremely increase. Currently, I still go to High school for Energy and Technology and I'm am 10 months out of ACL and meniscus surgery (February 2020) and I am feeling pretty confident that I would go back to doing what I love and that is playing baseball.
