Darren Worrell '22 Recruiting Profile

Well To be honest I never thought I would be in the position I am today. I was always a basketball guy but god had a calling for me and as soon as I started playing baseball I started falling in love. I know that this is what I want to do in college because it just seems right. I know that any coach will be lucky to have me because I am great teammate and a hardworking individual. I don’t care if anyone tells me I’m not going to make it I know I will make it. That is the bottom line. But before baseball and sports is academics and my academics is pretty good had a few slip ups but I plan on keeping my grade constant no more slip ups. What makes me different from other recruits is that I know that I am not an ordinary person because as a sophomore I have just about 30 credits right now which is not ordinary. You don’t really hear too much people my age with that amount of dedication. Some ask me how do you have so much dedication with sports and academics. Well the truth is that I always think about my future. I know the bad outcomes that can happen if you are not dedicated and I just don’t want that to be me.  Now I know I am not perfect but I want all the colleges to know I am willing to try. That is promise that I will never break it is not in my blood to quit everything I start I will finish.
