I have high expectations for myself on the field and in the classroom. I am a dedicated player as I workout and practice almost every day. I have been looked at as a leader on every team that I have played on because of the time I put into becoming a better player and the way that I play the game. I am passionate about the sport and I try my absolute best to become a better player and teammate each year. I am extremely competitive and seem to play even better under pressure. I am in advanced classes in school for math, science, and Spanish and have consistently been an honor roll student. I take feedback very well from my coaches and I use that feedback to grow as a player. Some additional things that separate me from other athletes are that I can pitch, hit, and I am a fast runner. When I played for my school's freshman team, I was the number one starter and I received a very honorable award for the most valuable pitcher, as I threw a no-hitter, and another complete game in the season. As for my summer travel team, I was also the one starter and I hit second in the line-up because of my ability to hit for power and average with speed on the bases, throughout the season. This past summer my travel team, the Titans, traveled to competitive tournaments in such places as Cincinnati, Ohio twice, Delaware, and New Jersey. In local tournaments we played at a higher age group for more competition. Individually, I recently had the opportunity to represent my region and go to Cary, North Carolina to compete in the USA baseball try-outs. My goal is to be considered excellent both academically and athletically to play at a high collegiate level and will work as hard as I can to make that happen.
