Richie Caito '22 Recruiting Profile

I always hold myself to a higher standard both on the field and in the classroom. I am dedicated to becoming the very best player that I can be as I practice as much as I can even during the off season. As an 8^th grader I made the high school freshman team and was looked at as a leader on that team and was even selected as the most valuable player.   I made the junior varsity (JV) team as a freshman and was the only freshman who was moved up to the varsity team for the playoffs and at the end of the season and I was selected as the JV offensive MVP.

On my previous summer travel team, the WNY Spartans, I was elected team captain two years in a row by my teammates because of my dedication to making the team better, the passion for which I play the game and because I always led by example on and off the field. I am passionate about the game of baseball and I always do my absolute best to become a better player and teammate each year. I am extremely competitive and seem to play even better under pressure. I take feedback very well from my coaches and I use that feedback to mature as a player. My goal is to be considered excellent both academically and athletically and to play at a high collegiate level and will continue to work as hard as I can to make that happen.
