Personal Statement



Good afternoon, my name is Drayton Bauer. I have always had a passion for sports, but I have not always been allowed to play them. I underwent open-heart surgery as an infant and was allowed to play all sports as a young kid.  At the age of 8, I was told I could no longer play sports competitively and I was angry and hurt for the next few years. The summer I was 15 I was finally allowed to play traveling baseball on a competitive level, since then my body has continued to get stronger and my love for baseball has surpassed all my expectations.
My parents have made me the person I am today and they have taught me so much about life.  I'm a young man ready to start my future and my personal goals are to make my parents proud, have a  good college education, and live the best of my life.  I want to find the college that is best for me both academically and athletically. I am a team player, who is hardworking and dedicated.  I'm just trying to take little steps at a time and give the best example possible and show the world that I got something great in me, just need an opportunity.  My positions  are RHP and shortstop and left field, but I can play any position you stick  me at . Im willing to learn new things. Just need the opportunity. Thanks for your time.
