Jacob Stowe '20 Recruiting Profile

 My ultimate goal is to play baseball at the collegiate level. This is something I have wanted to do for as long as I can remember. From the moment I first started playing baseball at the age of 5, I had an indescribable passion for the sport. When it comes to pitching, I take most pride in my form, mechanics, and accuracy. I have spent years with several different coaches to work with my innate ability and critique my flaws in order to excel. On my current baseball team at Rosman High School, I am often told I am considered to be a team leader because I lead by example with a positive and confident attitude. I help the younger players and give them pointers when they are in need both on and off the field, I always look out for them and guide them to do the right thing.

 I stay on top of my grades, I have a 3.9 weighted GPA, and take honors classes. I believe in excelling in every aspect of my life, not only sports. I help other students when they need guidance in order to help them succeed as well. I am good at balancing schoolwork, baseball and personal time to decompress. 

 My game day preparation starts before everyone else. I take my time to make sure that I am well prepared both mentally and physically before the game. This is when I get locked in and focused on the game ahead of me. I always bring my best every day because that sets the bar for the rest of my team to be the best that they can be. I buy into the program, dedicate myself to my coaches, commit to my team, and always finish what I start. I always think positive no matter how challenging the situation might be. I try my best to encourage everyone around me to respond well to adversity, because positive thinking, brings positive results. From the moment I arrive at my new school, I plan to make a positive impact in everything I do.
