Cole Barta '23 Recruiting Profile

    As a Junior in High School I have some time before I head off to college.  Throughout my High School career I have learned a lot and I hope to keep learning more.  I hope to get awards not only in athletics but also in academics.  The highlight of my athletic career so far as a team was when my baseball team won the state championship when I was 13.  The highlight of my personal athletic career is earning all conference honors my sophomore year.  The highlight of my academic career was when my team took first in state for math counts.  Throughout sports I have been taught a lot.  I have learned a lot from winning but learned more from losing.  I hate losing but I try to take what I can from it.

    When I am playing my sport I want to lead by example.  I want not only my teammates to learn from me but also younger people that are watching.  I want them to know me not just for my skill but also for my character.  I try to be a leader of my team.  I want to encourage everyone to do better and work harder and not quit.  I am always trying to get better at my sports, but I know school is very important as well.  Even though I am really busy with 3 sports I work hard in school to get all A's.  Throughout my High School career I hope to improve on my skills, and character, and I know that is only achievable by hard work, but I am willing to give that and more to play at the college level.
