Personal Statement

Baseball became a passion when I joined a coach pitch team the “Cardinals”.  My dad took me to the park at age 5 and every since then I have never stopped playing the game.  I learned discipline, camaraderie, compassion for teammates and an overall love for the game.

My most recent accomplishment is being selected for honorable mention in the Scioto Valley Conference and being named to the Southeastern District Baseball Team, Honorable Mention.

I attribute my life lessons to my parents, who are both in the military, that taught me strength and patience.  I learned from my grandparents to have fun working.  My coaches taught me to trust the process and to overcome obstacles.

Being raised on a small farm, I learned many life lessons that don’t come from books. I was responsible for animals, helped deliver calves, participated in 4H projects, and learned how to operate tractors and mow acres of property.  Over the years my once strong grandparents, needed assistance.  I had to learn to assist my aging grandparents, learning to be calm and responsible. Helping them with their therapy and performing chores that became challenging at times.

My plan in High School is to start taking collegiate level courses in my senior year.  My goal for college is to seek out an educational opportunity in the medical career field, majoring in Physical Therapy as I have strong passion for health, sports and fitness.

I am fortunate to have the opportunity to be part of a team and learn lessons that have built my strong character.  I am the leader for my high school baseball team and I am a two sport athlete.  My goal is to attend a school that fits my academic goals and my athletic passion.
