My first high school season as a freshman being on varsity was very challenging. Our team wasn’t as good as we wanted it to be but I learned some stuff even though we didn’t win any championships. I learned that keeping your head in the game and staying focused plays a big part in the game I love. It’s the difference between a 1 run inning and a 10 run inning. Another thing I also learned is that teams have to be able to handle diversity. When things aren’t going as planned make a play to change the momentum of the game. Also being the younger guy on the team I learned what it takes to be a leader at the varsity level. I’m willing to work hard to succeed. In the end it’s not all about how I perform it’s about how the team performs.
