Tate DeBord '23 Recruiting Profile

I am working hard in the classroom and on the field to earn a scholarship to further my education and to continue playing the game that I love.  I would like to teach and coach someday and know that playing sports in college will help me in every "avenue" of life by continuing to re-enforce discipline and a hard work ethic.  I would hope to share those experiences and work ethic with future student athletes to realize their full potential also.

I believe I will be a great teammate in a college program.  I always have team goals in mind above personal goals and work as hard as possible to help the team.  I have already had experiences that may not have been what I wanted initially, but did what was asked of me because it was what was best for the team and completed those expectations gladly.

Athletically, I pride myself on having a good "baseball IQ" and think about my responsibilities before every pitch.  At the plate, I hit the pitches "where they are pitched" and take what the pitchers give me.  I understand situations and will always sacrifice myself to move runners over and get runs in. 

I am looking forward to talking to interested coaches/schools to find the best fit for my future.
