Personal Statement

College / Career Objectives:

I am NCAA eligible, studying Chemistry with a 3.0 GPA playing  for JUCO Clark State and will play for the Florida Gulf League in the summer of 2022 . I am looking for a D1/D2 program whete I can further my education and has a need for my skill set. I hit for average and power using all parts of the field with speed. I am a catcher but my bat has allowed me to play 3/2B/OF.

My teammates would say I am hardworking and dedicated teammate.  My family is extremely important to me and are my largest source of support.

Training

  • I have a professionally prepared meal and workout plan that I have been using for the past 2 years and have been working out on my own the two years before that. I practice catching skills once per week and hitting once per week with coaches
  • 4 years
  • Depending on plan 3-5 days per week in the gym at 4:45 am before school. On off-days I hit about 200 balls before school, I follow a high protein balanced diet towards gaining 20 pounds every off-season. My goal is to get to 165-170 by March. After school instead of working out with the team, I do an hour of stretching. I long-toss or use ply-o balls 2-3 times a week
  • Weekly Catching Program
  • 3 years
  • Midland Redskins off-season weekly training program builds lower-body endurance, stretching, arm strength, basic and situational and basic receiving skills, blocking, transfer skills
  • Weekly Hitting Training
  • 4 years
  • This is called a high-velocity hitting program. it includes a sere is of basic hitting drills off a tee and builds to situational hitting with high-velo pitching (+80mph). About every once a month I mix in a private lesson to fine tune certain areas of my hitting.
  • Daily intensive stretching
  • 2 years
  • During my high school baseball weightlifting sessions, I do intensive stretching since I have already done my workout every morning using my professional workout and meal plan. Our school has trainers that help me work different areas like hips, arms, legs, etc. I need this as my workouts are intensive and geared to add 15-20lbs each off season.

Additional Sports

  • Basketball
  • 5 years
  • Club/Travel Team
  • I play on a rec team for fun with my friends and to do something other than baseball
  • Cross Country
  • 3 years
  • Club/Travel Team
  • I ran X-country for 3 years and now do not run as much because I do not want to lose weight. I am a good runner and don't mind running

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
