Declan Ciesinski '22 Recruiting Profile

When I was five years old I started playing baseball, and immediately fell in love with and developed a passion for the game. That passion has driven me to work hard and be the best player and person I can be, on or off the field.   

Being homeschooled has helped me to become self-disciplined, and it helped me become self-motivated in my practice and work out routines. I play on my high school team as well as a travel team. I have a strong work ethic and a desire to always get 1% better every day, whether it be in the weight room, the batting cage (where I daily work hard on my swing mechanics), hitting lessons (which I have been taking since age eleven), or just increasing my baseball IQ by watching, enjoying and studying the game.

I take pride in being a leader on the field. In the outfield I lead communication with my teammates and hold myself and my teammates accountable. I make a point to hustle more than anyone on the field no matter the score and keep a positive attitude in the dugout. I am a coachable player willing to play at any level. Physically, I am 6 feet tall, lean and fast, and I work out with weights.  My dedication, hustle and perseverance make me an asset to any team I play for.

It is my dream to play baseball competitively at the next level and right now my goal is to play collegiate baseball at the highest level I can get playing time.  I am looking to obtain a degree in Criminology and Physical Education or a similar course.
