Being awarded a starting position on my high school team as a freshman was a great confidence booster. Not only was I put on the field with a great group of upperclassmen in which to learn from, but I was immediately put into situations that allowed me to grow and develop as an athlete and as a person. With 6 of the 9 starters being graduating seniors, my coaches began to groom me as a leader, with expectations for me to lead our team for the next 3 years.
My sophomore season wasn’t quite what we expected with the coronavirus shutting down our baseball season. However, our time off and away from baseball made me realize how much I love and want to play the game. With the changes to NCAA eligibility rules, I understand that I need to work harder, sacrifice more and build upon my leadership skills these next 2 years to be able to compete at the college level.
I’m looking for a program that will be a good fit for me both athletically and academically. I want to find a program that is as interested in building good men as it is in building a good baseball program. I will be ready to make an immediate impact on your program. I believe my character, work ethic, talent and leadership skills will position me to be a great addition to your program.
