My main goal for collegiate athletics is to work on bettering myself, mentally and physically. What sets me apart from other players is that I come from a long line of hard workers and I am no different. The biggest athletic difference that I see in my game is the natural arm-side run and sink that I create on my fastball. Another thing that sets me apart from other players is that at Dale, we play one of the toughest schedules in the state, with 66% of our opponents in the fall making the state tournament. On top of that winning the highly difficult Fall State Tournament. So far in my career, I've been used in starting roles and in relief. I have thrown in several big games with a win in relief against Byng in the semifinals of the Fall State Tournament, as well as closing out back-to-back state champion Fort Cobb-Broxton Mustangs in the prestigious Hydro-Eakly Labor Day tournament, earning the save in a scoreless effort. In the spring of 2023, in a starting pitching role, I threw a 1-hit shutout in a 7-inning victory to help our team advance to Regionals. I also earned the start in the finals of the Carl Albert Bill Tipton Tournament. Facing a bigger school in 5A state tournament team Elgin Owls, I went the distance allowing only two earned runs along with 5 K's and only one BB while also hitting a personal best of 86 mph. As far as character goes, I am always working on my relationship with Christ, and have gone to church my whole life. Learning is something that my parents (being educators) have always instilled in me, so I take my academics very seriously.
As far as this summer goes I pitched against Carl Albert in a winning effort, and held Norman scoreless through 7. Unfortunately our end of season tournament was cancelled, but this shouldn’t stop me from pitching. I have pitched for the Oklahoma Drillers twice this summer, and plan to pitch two more weekends with them. I will continue to go to Coach Mike Hinckley for a guided bullpen session once a week every week this summer.
