Baseball is a big part of my life, and the only sport I have wanted to play. I have played at a very high level of competition since I was a little kid. On my high school team I have a huge role as the starting catcher, the number one relief pitcher, and I have one of the best bats on the team. Being in this role has shown me how to lead others. I have a very positive attitude and I am very coachable. I push my teammates and myself to not only be the best players we can be, but also the best people we can be.
I followed the advice of my high school coaches to focus on improving my skills during my first two years of high school. I took lessons for many years with our assistant coach working on batting, catching, and pitching, although catching has always been my favorite position. I only started pitching in high school, and was excited when my coach called on me to pitch in our Class 6A state tournament game last spring.
I have been able to travel all over, from the East Coast to Hawaii and many places in between. There have been lots of places I have enjoyed visiting and exploring. There are many parts of the country I enjoy and I am truly open to go to college anywhere. I am mainly focused on schools with good academics because I want to further my education, as well as my baseball career. I am looking for a school that is a good fit for me. The most important thing for me is that I have a good relationship with the coaches and get along well with them. I am excited to take the next step in furthering my baseball career.
