I started swimming competitively at eight years old, and haven’t looked back. I dream of swimming on a collegiate level, and everything I do in and out of the pool is to accomplish this dream. In college, my plan is to strengthen my skills and techniques as a swimmer in the pool as well as outside of the pool in the gym, and as a teammate in leadership roles. My high school career has been highlighted by qualifying for State Championship finals all three years, qualifying for Region VIII Sectionals all three years, and breaking my school’s 100-meter backstroke record in 2021 as well as several other accomplishments I am proud of. I am committed to continuing to put in the hard work at the collegiate level and look forward to seeing that work pay off.
In addition to my wishes to continue my swim career beyond high school and into college, I am looking forward to being challenged academically. Throughout high school, I have maintained a rigorous class schedule including multiple AP and honors courses. As a high school senior, I plan on taking several concurrent college courses. Swim and a demanding academic schedule have given me the gift of excellent time management and personal responsibility. Outside of swim and school, I have enjoyed volunteerism through the National Honor Society and my summer job as a lifeguard and swim instructor. I look forward to communicating with coaches and the opportunity to prove to you that I am right for your roster. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
