My name is Jack Matthew and have been playing baseball most my life. I have played on several travel teams but mainly played with our school travel teams Aces/Mustangs. Our varsity coach was very firm on his players being on these teams that plan to come to his high school. One thing I can say about me is I am at my best mid to late in a game. I seem to get stronger as the game goes on. Our varsity team had 8 seniors which all started and played for our second state title game in back to back years. That being said I still contributed to the team and had a roll. I started some games and pitched in a handful as well. One thing that is important to me is I am coachable and I really mean that! I want to be my best and when I listen is when I play at my best. I have always pitched at a high level and my off speed stuff has always been my go to. I love throwing a 3-2 curveball or slider. I have to fully focus when I am at this count and I love that pressure! Other then that I am a lefty and I feel I have a good read with runners on. I have saved myself by picking off guys when I needed an out the most. Also I play football which has instilled a toughness in me. As a sophomore I am battling for the varsity qb position. I love to stay busy and have worked about 6 days a week since the start of off season football. With football in my life I will be mentally and physically strong and always gonna be in shape!:)
