Dear Coach
My name is Brandon Reed and I would like an opportunity to tell you a little about myself. I realize that statistically the odds may be stacked against me however my goal of playing baseball at a high collegiate level and then taking my game to the professional level still remains. I have been playing baseball ever since I can remember and my goal has always been to make baseball a key part of my future life. My goal is to continue my baseball career at the next level by finding the right college for me and my skills.
I believe I would be a good candidate for your team for a few reasons. I believe that my work ethic over the years has paid off tremendously and my desire to continuously get better in the game of baseball has never gone away. Because of this I was able to not only make the varsity baseball team as a freshman but was the starting catcher as well as a starting pitcher for the team. I was also a successful switch hitter finishing the season with a .405 batting average.
I also believe that my character has held true not only through athletics but I believe I have demonstrated strong character though my academics as well. As a freshman, I finished the year with a 4.0 GPA and was an honor roll student.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
Brandon Reed
