My name is Jack Giovenco and I am currently a 17 year rising senior at Parkland High School in Allentown, Pennsylvania. I have worked hard throughout my life to achieve my dream of playing baseball at the collegiate level. I understand the amount of dedication to both academics and athletics it takes to compete collegiately as I currently have a 4.5 GPA in honors/AP classes and am a member of the newly formed PA Stars ( PA Shockers and Rising Stars combined) tournament baseball program, competing on their 2021 National team. I have also played with US Elite and FTB and have been lucky to have played very high level competitive baseball since I was 12.
I pride myself on setting realistic goals that I work extremely hard to obtain and achieving those goals through hard work and determination. My academic goals for college is to graduate with an computer science degree while playing a high level of competitive baseball. My athletic goals are to bring the qualities I’ve played with since I first stepped on a baseball field to my collegiate team and to develop into a player that may one day have the opportunity to play professionally. I’ll be the first to practice, the last to leave and will always hustle and strive to be the best player and teammate that I can be. I’ve had the opportunity to find strength and determination in overcoming challenges that many student athletes don’t face and those opportunities have molded me into the well rounded student athlete that I am today.
