The best event that happened in my athletic career would have to be when my little league team made it to the Pennsylvania State Playoffs for little league baseball. While the triumph of that team played a significant role in my life, the following years with that team was what made me the person who I am. After that year, we never made it to those playoffs ever again. Playing for that team taught me that you aren't always going to win, no matter how good you are.
The reason I feel I would be a good candidate for your team is because I am a utility player with a solid work ethic. I was given the Distinguished Leopard award at my school two years in a row. That award is given to the student who is well rounded and best displays leadership, athletics, academics, hard work, and scholarship. I am an active member of my community and my baseball team. A coach once told me that good players have to be smart on the field and in the classroom. I have had a 4.0+ GPA my entire life.
