I have a high baseball IQ and I leverage that in every game I play. As a left-handed 1B/OF (6 ft/200lbs) I am a hard out at the plate. I led both my school team and travel team in quality at bats last season. As a 15-year-old, I competed on a 16U competitive wood bat league team that won the junior division championship with a 10-4 record. At the end of the season, I was awarded Player of the Year for our team.
I seek to continuously improve. A win is a collaborative effort. I respect my coaches and love getting feedback/tips and talking about the game with them. While demonstrating good sportsmanship, I always want to help my coach and teammates. I often share on-the-field observations that I think will offer us the best chance to win. I am a leader in the dugout, encouraging everyone. This habit started in Little League, where, even though I am a lefty, I was asked to play catcher, because I was considered the best at managing the game on the field and could most impact my teams from that position. My athletic type according to the Troutwine Athletic Profile (TAP) is Rocket.
Academics are important to me. I attend Conestoga High School a top school in PA according to US News. I am an honor roll student at 'Stoga with honors and AP classes on my schedule. My GPA was 3.8 at the end of my junior year. I am a member of National Society of High School Scholars. My PSAT 8/9 score was 1130 placing me in the 93rd percentile. Once the College Board resumes its normal testing calendar, I will schedule to sit for the SAT.
In closing, I love this game and want to continue to develop. I consider myself a student both on the baseball diamond and in the classroom. I seek to grow by playing for a college with strong academics and a competitive and reputable athletic program.
May 2021
I committed to Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts to further my academic and athletic career. I will be an Honors Program student majoring in Sport Management.
