Entering my freshman year at Wallenpaupack Area High School (Northeast, PA) was a year of patience, learning and character building. Being a three-sport athlete (soccer, basketball & baseball), my personal goal was to see some varsity playing time. I accomplished that goal in both soccer and basketball, but I knew that I was entering a baseball season that consisted of a team with a strong group of seniors. I recognized that I was going to have to work hard to earn a starting spot on the team.
The hard work, dedication and commitment I made to improve my skills, helped me to earn a starting spot on the varsity squad in left field. That year, we made school history by making it to the semifinals of the Pennsylvania state playoffs. The sacrifice, commitment and teamwork that I experienced my freshman year, I carried into my role (pitcher, centerfield and first base) on my team during summer and fall travel baseball and entering my sophomore year as a three-sport athlete. My goal is to play baseball at the college level where I can be both academically and athletically challenged. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
