Wyatt Spinks '23 Recruiting Profile

I am an incredibly athletic, two-sport varsity athlete (since sophomore year) whose work ethic and determination is highlighted and valued by my coaches.  I am considered a “gamer” and “grinder” and am always working to help my team win. My coaches appreciate the intensity I play the game with from beginning to end no matter what the score.  Athletically, I am looking to continue my sports career at the collegiate level. Academically, I currently have a 3.9 GPA taking all honors level courses.

As a baseball player I am not only a highly skilled middle infielder (SS mostly) and spot-hitting pitcher, but am also quite capable in both the outfield and behind the dish. 

Defensively I am a quick fielder with great hands, anticipation, and range that charges all infield hits and routinely makes plays behind 3rd base as well as left and center fields. 

Offensively, I am a speedy (60 yd dash currently at 6.90), top of the lineup or 2-hole hitter responsible for getting on base and frustrating pitchers with high pitch count at-bats. Once on base, I am always looking to steal bases and move into better scoring position for my teammates (95% stolen base average per season).

I have played baseball at a high level for over 7 years now with a desire to continue playing at the collegiate level.  I feel my athleticism, high baseball IQ, coach-ability, work ethic, determination, and desire to succeed will prove valuable to my team in winning games and championships.
