Jessica Adams '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello. My name is Jessica and I love playing sports and staying physically fit.  While I have been playing softball since I was five, it wasn’t until I was in 7^th grade that I realized my love for volleyball.  In the three years I’ve played, I was a starter each year.  And while I love playing volleyball for my school, I wanted to play year-round, further improve my skills, and compete at a higher level.  So, I tried out and was invited to join East Coast Power’s 15U club team.  I really enjoyed that experience, traveling to tournaments, meeting new people, and playing teams at all levels.  I learned a lot about the game but also how to balance sports and schoolwork.  In addition to my athletic skills, I am a good listener and I have an incredibly positive attitude.  Even when losing or facing challenging situations, I stay positive and try to motivate others.  

While I am currently 5’7”, I do not want height to prevent me from playing a sport I love at the collegiate level. I am still growing physically, and I am working hard to improve my vertical jump. Despite being undecided, I am excited about attending college, and am equally excited about joining and making an impact on a collegiate volleyball program.  I am working hard each day to make those goals a reality.
