I am a class of 2024 student athlete at Conneaut Area Senior High in Linesville, PA. I am hard working both on and off the field carrying a 4.0 weighted GPA. While I do have a goal to play competitive baseball, most important to me is my goal to secure a degree in Business Management.
As a shortstop, my job on the field is to be a leader. I believe in leading by example. On the field, I remain focused, level headed and driven. I remain calm under pressure and have played in competitive teams that have played at, and placed at, the state level. While I am also confident and passionate about the game; I remain humble and have learned to both win and lose with dignity and grace. I am very knowledgeable in baseball and am always looking ahead to see where the next play will be. I am the first one on and off the field. If you ask anyone who has watched games I have played in who was the first one to hustle on and off the field, the answer will always be me. I love to share my passion for the game. I have been able to do this through my coaching experience with our local Junior Legion program as well as working out and running drills with younger travel teams in my area. Being able to share both my skills and love of the game with those coming up in baseball has been one of my greatest enjoyments.
Although I am now a 6 foot, 165 pound upperclassman on my high school team, I have spent most of my 13 years of baseball experience as both the youngest and smallest on my team. I believe this made me not only a stronger player, but also matured me to be a better teammate who can connect and play competitively with players of all ages. Playing on these teams created a drive in me to develop both my body and my mind. I am dedicated to not only strengthening and conditioning my body, but also continuing to grow in my baseball knowledge. This dedication earned me both the starting shortstop position on my high school team as a 14 year old freshman and a spot at shortstop on my 19U Senior Legion Team.
I utilize many of the same attributes I display on the baseball field in my experience volunteering with my local fire department. My ability to remain level headed and think of the next “play” when responding with fire, rescue and EMS has made me a valuable asset to the department. My job on a local farm also requires me to be focused and work hard. Simply put, baseball has shaped my life from the ground up. There is no better game in the world.
