Personal Statement

I believe in surrounding myself with good people and learning from those who have had success in their life.  I am goal oriented and when I focus on something, I am usually able to achieve it.  I am confident in my abilities on the field but I realize nothing good comes without dedication and hard work.

One of the qualities I possess is my love of the game and my "baseball IQ."  I was raised in a baseball family with my dad being a high school coach for almost 20 years. He would always point out a teams strategies within the game or a players strengths and weaknesses. I strive to be a great teammate, have a strong work ethic and a desire to be the best player and person that I can be.

I have high aspirations of being in the health field and take my grades seriously.  I would like to become a chiropractor or some other healthcare provider where I can work with collegiate or professional athletes.

In addition to training, I enjoy playing basketball, hanging with my friends and being outdoors.

  • Physical: Lengthy, durable 6-foot-2, 180-pound frame with some projectability yet to fill into. 7.25 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: LHH - Open, upright stance with the hands starting flat/high above the shoulder. Utilized a controlled leg kick stride while holding posture well throughout the forward move. The hands initiated through a flat, repeatable path handling pitches up in the zone with extra juice. Stayed connected well in the frame, while driving the lower half with intent into a stiff front side. The top hand showed quickness and strength, manipulating the bat head to any quadrant yielding a standout 90 mph bat-exit velocity/44% line drive rate via Trackman Baseball. Had no issues peppering the middle of the field, but had his best success lifting to RCF. Defensively: The primary outfielder featured an up-tempo defensive round approaching with active footwork off the left side of his body. Lengthy, loose glove hand arm extended outward playing softly and funneling inward to the chest. Accurate, lengthy high ¾ slot and corner OF projection moving forward. Showcased some positional flexibility at first base with easy lateral movements/quick first step. Could dig the ball out of the dirt and demonstrated low posture at the fielding window. Recorded a strong 81 mph arm strength at both positions.

  • PBR All State Games
  • 6/13/21 to 6/15/21
  • PBR Pennsylvania “Liked the round from ‘22 OF @RyanDalCanton1 (Franklin Regional). Free and easy, staying behind the baseball with loose actions. Extreme carry to the plate with backspin on all throws and accuracy on the plate. Corner OF projection (81 mph). “

  • Physical: Large 6-foot-2, 180-pound frame with obvious strength in all phases of the game; increased feel for the hit tool. 7.30 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: LHH - Wide, slightly open stance with the barrel pointed slightly upwards over the shoulder with rhythm pre-load. Utilized a leg hang stride with ability to hold the backside on the forward move; slightly upright posture at impact allowing the hands to work through a slightly uphill attack. Recorded a 63% fly ball rate per Trackman Baseball while getting up to a 348 peak batted ball distance during batting practice. Mostly middle-pull side approach and liked to get the hands extended out over the plate, though the bat head played mostly short to the baseball primarily. Notched an impressive 92 mph bat-exit velocity with a 25% hard hit rate. Defensively: The primary outfielder showed off adequate footwork arriving on time to the fielding window with medium posture on the approach. Fielded off the left side of his body with one hand showing soft actions, accurate 80 mph arm strength on the plate from one step … The first baseman featured feel for the glove hand moving at a somewhat upright position with confidence on short hops. Showcased comfortability around the bag as well, 79 mph arm strength across from a lower, ¾ slot.
  • Camp/Event
  • PBR keystone state tryout
  • 7/15/20 to 7/15/20
  • Physical: Advanced 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame with a well proportioned build and some projectability. 7.20 runner in the 60-yard dash. Offensively: LHH. Wide, slightly open stance with the weight coiled around a bent backside. Utilized a deep arm barred load at the shoulder coupled with a knee knock stride to initiate a flat barrel path into the hitting zone. Showed ability to match plane early and often in the swing and was able to keep the hands inside pitches thrown on the inner half. Was repeatedly on time generating hard contact to the RCF gap during batting practice, solid barrel awareness while registering a top bat-exit velocity of 89 mph per Trackman Baseball with a 63% fly ball rate. Defensively: The primary first baseman showed off a medium-high center of gravity with long, slow lateral movements. Arrived on time to the baseball while fielding off of the middle of his body with a soft glove hand. Accurate, high ¾ slot across the diamond from a lengthy arm swing. INF - 78 mph
