Personal Statement

My goal as a student-athlete is to get a good education and accomplish my lifelong dreams as an athlete.  I strive to succeed at everything I do, and if I don’t succeed at first, I keep trying until I do.  I set high expectations for myself and keep setting the bar higher as I reach each goal.  Even though I always try my best, I know there is always room for improvement on the field and in the classroom.  I appreciate and respect my coaches and teachers for the time they spend assisting me to become a better teammate, student, and person.  I have also learned to take responsibility for my mistakes and to learn from those experiences.  Time management is very important to me because I must balance all of my athletic and academic activities to achieve my goals while excelling in the classroom and on the field and I am proud of the fact that I am an honor student.

I have always had the desire to be part of a team and to contribute to the success of my team.  In my younger days I was often overlooked simply because I was a bit undersized; however, my desire to succeed on the field was always clearly demonstrated by my performance.  In 2018 and 2019, I was a starter on the High School Junior Varsity Team where I played both as a catcher and center fielder.  I also played those same positions for all of my summer travel teams.  I was disappointed that the 2020 High Scool season was canceled as I made the Varsity team.  I have wrestled for the past 5 years, which helps keep me in top condition during the winter months.  I continue to work hard year round with a personal trainer 3 times a week in addition to my team practices to increase my strength, speed, and agility in preparation for the next season.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
