Winning the states play-in game and then having to forfeit the game due to a pitch count error my junior year was definitely the toughest lesson I learned during my years of playing baseball. Knowing that our team had the talent and won the game but couldn’t advance was tough to deal with, but I learned that sometimes things aren’t always fair but I have to deal with it and move on to focus on the next season.
I value the time I am with a team and working together to improve our skills and communication, however, I also value the time I spent bowling in tournaments as something different I can do on my own. It teaches me that sometimes I have to depend on myself to perform at my highest level and how to adjust to changing conditions during a game to stay competitive.
I am looking for a college that will challenge me both athletically and academically. I believe I have the strength, talent and ambition to perform at a high level both on the field and in the classroom.
