My love for being a goalkeeper started on my second practice of field hockey when I was 9. From that moment on, I knew not only that field hockey was the sport for me, but so was being a goalkeeper. I played U16 and U14 when I was 12 for the club in my hometown. Being around the level of competition and the maturity of the girls who were older than me shaped me into the competitive player I am today. It wasn’t always easy being around the older girls being a 12 year old, but my passion for the game and my drive to become the best goalkeeper I can be overcame those emotions. Now, playing for my high school team is so incredible because of the connections I’ve formed with the upperclassman over the years. I left my club team in State College a few years ago to play for the Central Penn Field Hockey Club. Yes, that’s an hour and a half drive that I make twice a week for practice. I also drive 2 hours to Futures at Spooky Nook in Lancaster. I am very hopeful that I will get to continue my field hockey career at the collegiate level and bring some of my hardworking habits and help the team strive to do as well as I want to do. My love for the game and competition would make me a great addition to your team!
