Jake Orr '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jake Orr and I am a 12^th grade student athlete at McGuffey HS, located in Claysville, PA. Besides being a serious academic student, I am the top ranked 2nd Baseman, for my class, in the state, by Prep Baseball Report (PBR), as well as being named a "Top Prospect" by Perfect Game (PG) with a performance grade of 8.5.

I have been a starting middle in-fielder and high level hitter on my high school varsity team since my freshman year. I have been a member of the Pittsburgh Outlaws Travel Organization since I was 9 years old where I have participated in an extensive baseball training and coaching program, as well as a full elite tournament schedule each year. To continue my development, last year I joined the Southern Squeeze Baseball Club, based in Estero, Florida and spent this past summer testing myself against top level talent in a variety of high level events, earning a variety of honors including All-Tournament Team honors and Top Performers honors in several of those events. My past high level training, combined with playing high caliber competition has allowed me to grow and develop as a highly competitive baseball player. That development to this point, has help me to the following recognitions;

• Named to PA PBR “Freshman To Watch” list.
• Selected to play in the PA PBR Western Elite Showcase Event
• Selected to play in the PG 2017 National Underclassman Showcase in Florida.
• Select to play in the PG 2018 Freshman Classic Challenge/Series in Florida
• Selected as the 2018 Ripken Myrtle Beach Surfs-Up “Tournament MVP”
• Ranked by PA PBR as the #1 Second Baseman for the Class of 2021
• Selected to the PG “All-Tournament Team” at the Columbus, OH 2019 Tournament  
• Selected as the 2019 Ripken Myrtle Beach Surfs-Up “Tournament MVP” (2^nd Consecutive Yr)
• Named as a “High Performer” by PB at the 2019 WWBA Underclassman World Championships in Florida.
• Named as a "High Performer" by PG at the 2020 BCS Tournament in Ft Myers, Florida
• Selected to the PG "All Tournament Team" at the 2020 BCS Tournament in Ft. Myers Florida
• Selected to the PG "Top Prospect" List at the PG 2020 Ohio Valley Showcase in Indianapolis IN

With my past experience and dedication, as a hard worker, to always improve myself as a ball player, it is my goal to continue my progress and to showcase my skills and establish a player profile that is proof I can compete and be successful at the college level.
